Aluminum fins
Aluminum fins are widely used in HVAC and refrigeration heat exchangers. Tooling should control burrs, fin pitch consistency and collar forming while supporting stable high-speed production.
Copper fins
Copper offers high thermal conductivity but requires careful forming control. Fin die design should consider material softness, collar quality and surface protection during production.
Stainless steel fins
Stainless steel fins are selected for corrosion resistance or special industrial applications. Tooling wear, punching force and forming sequence need closer review than standard aluminum applications.
What to send for material review
- Material grade and thickness.
- Fin drawing, sample photo or target heat exchanger application.
- Required fin pitch, hole pattern and collar height.
- Expected production capacity and press line information.
Sinoak can review the material and fin specification before recommending a suitable fin die or press line configuration.
