From fins to coils: typical equipment flow for heat exchanger production.

1. Fin forming

Fin dies and fin press lines form the metal fins used in condensers, evaporators, radiators and HVAC coils. Tooling specification drives the quality of the later assembly.

2. Tube preparation

Tube straightening and cutting machines prepare copper or aluminum tube from coil stock before insertion into the fin pack.

3. Expansion and coil forming

Vertical expanders lock contact between tubes and fins. Coil benders then form the heat exchanger into the required geometry for the final product.
